Yanming Zhu, MD
Yanming Zhu is a Ph.D. student at Harvard University in the Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology program (SHBT), working at the Brain Modulation Lab for his thesis project. Yanming was born and raised in Shanghai, after which he went to medical school at Fudan University and trained at Huashan Hospital. His long-term research goals include using state-of-the-art electrophysiology and machine learning combined with advanced brain implants, in order to understand brain functions and gain insights into next-generation therapeutics. He is working towards becoming an academic neurosurgeon in clinical and research fields, device development, and education.
