Abigail Zuckerman, BS
Abigail is an MD-PhD student in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) MD program and is completing her PhD through the Harvard Program in Biological & Biomedical Sciences (BBS). She joined the Brain Modulation Lab in early 2025 after rotating at the end of 2024. Abigail completed her B.S. at Stanford University in Biology with Honors in Neurobiology and a Minor in Computer Science. She plans to pursue a career in academic neurology after completion of her MD-PhD. In the BML, her PhD project is focused on high frequency oscillations (HFO) in the basal ganglia as a potential electrophysiological biomarker for deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s Disease. She will further investigate HFOs as they relate to speech, beta oscillations, and evoked resonant neural activity (ERNA), as well as how they can reveal pathological and potential therapeutic mechanisms of disease.
